These are among the most simple but clever toys we have seen. Our 3 1/2 yr old son got the mini set as a gift a few years ago and they are still his most favorite toys. He also got one of the larger ones, which has not been as popular with him maybe b/c he has only one and can't interchange the parts. He really loves to mix and match the minis and to create stretch limousines w/the parts! My only compalaint is that he's already managed to break several of the rubber tires, although it's not surprising since this kid manages to break practically anything and usually does so within the first few hours of playing with it (the Automoblox lasted for several months without any damage!). I was glad to see from someone else's review that you can re-order missing or broken parts (we've also managed to lose a few of the wheels and tires even though we don't let him take them out of the house... hmmm). Just be careful if you have younger kids since the wheels and tires on the minis and the little people in the larger ones are definite choking hazards.

My 7 year old loves automoblox...they are well made and durable. They seem a bit expensive but on the flip side will probably last a lot longer than some of his other toys that are similar to these. I would definitely recommend them for any young boys who are into cars!

We received these as gifts last Christmas - and our son has enjoyed
the product ever since. The wood/plastic/parts have been very durable
as our son likes to race them on the hard wood floors. Collisions
with chairs, counters, tables occur regularly - and the toys are still
intact!

My son has a few of these vehicles and has a lot of fun taking them apart and mixing and matching the pieces. What's also nice is the pieces are color-coded so that you can remember which parts go with which car.

We had a friend tell us about these.. So, we were happy to find them on amazon! What a great Christmas gift! Our son loves them... (He is almost 3) but top it all off, the older boys thought it was the neatest/coolest thing they had seen...
The option to take them apart and put them together with other pieces was just the best...
ONLY DRAWBACK: the plastic cover on the tires come off way to easily for little hands that are very inquisitive :)
