 Not recommended for child play Jun 01, 2010

The item looks great; exactly resembles the movie character, but that's as good as it gets, unfortunately. We received the package with a hand already broken off. Upon inspection of the unbroken hand we saw that the plastic at the wrists were thin and not durable, so a child playing with it would have done it within minutes anyway. The cape which also has the backpack that the 'ion blaster' attaches to falls off very easily. That's because it is held by very, very small pegs into the shoulders. I actually don't even know if I can call them pegs. Don't expect a child to be too thrilled with it falling off as soon as he / she touches it.
All in all, if you're intending to use it only as a display piece, it's great. If this is for a child to play with, stay away. Though I will say, Disney customer service was excellent and they will let you do a full refund at any of their stores.

This toy is definitely not durable, nor is it easy for kids to play with. The cape constantly comes off and the gun is so hard to get in Zurg's hand, an adult has to do it. The toy is only 4 months old and already his arm broke off at the glove.

Like the title says, it's a great toy that my daughter loves. . . BUT the cape won't stay on. Oh, well, maybe the quality isn't "great", the hand that holds the proton blaster (or whatever it's called) broke off today.
Unable to Withstand Normal Play Nov 03, 2011

I bought this for my 5 year old. He is actually far more gentle with his toys than a lot of boys his age. He loves robots, hates broken toys, and learned early to be gentle with toys with moving parts. After ONE DAY of normal play, the hand that holds the weapon broke off. It is very thin and fragile - a ball joint might actually have lasted longer. At least it would have rotated freely. It certainly isn't built to withstand taking the weapon in and out of the hand at all. When the toy came, the cape wasn't attached at all. The pegs that attach it to the toy are small, and difficult to re-install. It took a lot of force, but they stayed in once they were put back. If the wrists were stronger, it would be a great toy - no annoying noises or flashing lights but looks very cool and makes for some great creative play. But it is far too breakable and not worth the price. I would not recommend buying this toy for a child.

The product lasted two days with min playtime before one arm came off due to the casting line not being properly fused... very unhappy with it and most certainly will not recommend this product!!!
