This is such a sweet diary. It's pages are perfect for a young girl to write about her day to day adventures. My godchild loves it!!

My 7 year old daughter REALLY wanted a diary with a lock. We first tried another model with one of the cheaper built-in latch locks, and that was a disaster -- it wouldn't work, she couldn't do it herself, etc. We returned it and went for this model, which has a cute little stand-alone lock that feeds through rings mounted on the book. The lock is not of the highest quality, and it would help if the shaft were longer -- but she can open and close it herself, and it seems like it will survive for awhile, so we're happy. If the lock breaks, we can easily substitute a small luggage lock.

My 7-year-old granddaughter loved her locking diary. She loves Tinker Bell, so the fairy themed cover was perfect for her.
