this is a gift but by the looks of it, it really is good for beginners. i really liked how it has all the basic tools and a sketch pad plus an instruction booklet. the case feels durable to protect everything inside. i would buy one for myself, unfortunately they are out of stock. makes a great gift.

'Bought this for my 11-year-old granddaughter so she could get a taste of line-drawing with charcoal pencils. The "kit" is perfect for introducing a youngster (or an adult!) to art projects.

This says its "stored in a convenient wooden storage box with handle for ease of use, travel and storage" that is crap. Itisin a wooden box yes but it is stored in plastic case inside the wooden boxso instantly it fell out both sides and broke on part of it. So pissed i used my birthday gift card on this crap. So not worth 1$ totally disapointed. I wanted something that i could continue to use for years obviously that will be impossible. Crap
