 The perfect mobile for us Oct 30, 2009

I was hesitant to buy this at first, since it was brand new and there were no reviews out on it yet. But, let me tell you - it was worth every penny! This mobile is made by the same company as the popular 'symphony in motion' mobile, so the quality and durability is there. For us, we loved the princess theme of the mobile and of course the cute pink colors. Just like the symphony in motion mobile, the top part of the mobile can be detached from the music box base part. There is a night lite option as well, and you can select either loud music or soft. The classical songs that this mobile plays are perfect for soothing a tired baby or just as background music. Another perk for us is the included remote control. We hang it near our bed, so that we can operate it from across the room (baby's crib is in our bedroom). If you are considering this mobile for your baby girl, we highly recommend it.

 Adorable but doesn't fit oversized crib rails Jan 29, 2010

I loved this mobile and couldn't wait for it to arrive. After assembly I tried to put it on my daughter's crib and found that it wouldn't fit. The way that the music box/rail attachment is assembled makes it impossible to fit on a thicker crib rail. I would guestimate that it won't fit on a rail any wider than 3-4 inches. I contacted the company to see if there is any way to adapt it and they told me no. I would highly recommend measuring your rail first before buying. If you're set on a Tiny Love mobile the company does make other mobiles with a strap that is used to attach it to the rail. Otherwise, you'll be stuck like me trying to figure out a safe way to adapt it or whether just to return it all together.

This is a terrific mobile. It does a great job of entertaining my baby. I even depend on it as an option to help calm her when she is crying and fussy. After using it several months she still continues to smile or cheer up when I put her down under it. I'm always amazed at her reaction. What I like about it: Good quality. The characters and swirls have more detail than what the picture shows. It moves in a variety of ways that I didn't expect. There is a variety of nice music ( upbeat or slow and calming.) The night light gives out the right amount of light. The remote is super handy ( I didn't think I would use it, but I do and often)It was easy to put together and install. There are two different volume levels and you can turn the music off, but still have the mobile going. Again, I have only good things to say about this mobile and I am super picky.

This mobile is really nice and had I not bought the Tiny Love Classic Mobile I would have thought I had the best in this one. But being that I have both I have to give this one 4 stars verses the Classic for five!. The Classic just mesmerizes our little girl, verses this one is cute for a short period but it does not take long until she is bored. But back to this one:
The Good:
- It fits perfectly in our home. We use it on the cradle and the full size crib with no problems. It is very secure and I do not have a worry that it will shift or fall off or worse onto our baby.
- The colors and design is just perfect for a little girls décor... I like the whimsical feel to it.
- The night light is not to bright and not to dim... just perfect
- The music is soft and soothing.
- The remote makes midnight wake ups easy. Just roll over, press the button and you are both back to sleep in good time
- Buttons on the mobile for easy reach for our baby is great. She knows to kick them to make it start again.
- Love the fact that you can just pop off the mobile attachment and then use the night light and music for older babies that can crawl and stand up. Makes it worth the 40.00 bucks!
- Really like the options on what you want to have on or off. You can have mobile but no music, or just music, or mobile but no light (saves battery during the day!)
- It is very thick plastic and is very sturdy and strong. This thing is not cheap in any way
- Very easy to use. My two year old knew how to set it up and work it right out of the box.
The Bad:
- The night light is great except that it could be angled up more so that it lights up the mobile more. You can make out the faint outlines but that is it. We have a very dark bedroom so this may just be our problem
- Does not have the mesmerizing effect like the Tiny Love Classic
- It is pretty bulky and I could not imagine trying to travel with this.

Great Mobile Oct 05, 2010

I have never written a review before, but as I read some of the negative reviews it was making me mad. This is a great mobile. I don't know what they are talking about. We have a Pottery Barn Kids Dana crib and it fits well, although the Dana crib does have a thinner crib rail. It does NOT make a clicking sound as it moves, the person who wrote that must have gotten a bad one. We have been using the mobile for almost 6 months now EVERY DAY at EVERY nap/bedtime. We have only had to change the batteries once. I am going to change them again today for the 2nd time. So that comment about the mobile eating batteries is not what we've experienced. In reference to the comment about the music being loud: We use it at the low setting and it is perfect. Sometimes when she is crying, I will change it to the setting to "high" -- this way she can hear the music over her cries -- it calms her down and I switch the setting back to low. In reference to the comment about the sound being "tinny" -- my husband and I are classically trained musicians with music education degrees -- we have two kids and have not yet found any product with 100% perfect sound -- unless you are playing a CD through the mobile you have to take it for what it is. I certainly would not describe the sound of this mobile as "tinny" - it is digital. This mobile's music is as good as we have found in that it plays beautiful classical melodies. In terms of colors, we LOVE them - our daughter has Pottery Barn Kids bedding and the colors blend beautifully. Finally and most importantly, our daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES this mobile. We had a different mobile with our first child and this purchase for daughter no. 2 was a GREAT buy. It totally does the trick of putting her to sleep, which the other mobile did not do for our first daughter (or is it just baby 2's personality?). In any case, this comes with my highest recommendation. As I have said, I have never written a review before. I checked this Amazon listing to see what size batteries I needed to buy today and I can't believe anyone would say anything bad about this mobile!
