 This doll looks just like the movie with a few things missing Jan 04, 2010

I've always wondered why, when the creators of the movie Toy Story obviously went to a lot of trouble creating believable marketable toys, that manufacturers couldn't produce a doll that copied the movie. I understand why there are several versions of Woody, marketing and all that, but never one that was actually the same. This one isn't it either, but it's darn close. The doll is the right scale as in the movie and has the same floppiness and plastic shoes and hat. The sheriff star is felt and there is only a picture of a drawstring on the back, so this doll doesn't actually talk, which I really don't mind because it forces my daughter to do the talking for him and saves me a slowly going insane from listening to the doll over and over again experience. My daughter who is 3 LOVES this doll. The biggest problem is that the hat doesn't stay on his head, it fits on his head just fine but any movement causes it to fall off so we're constantly having to look for it. I'd glue it on but she likes to tip his hat for him at other dolls. This doll turned out to be a great find!

This doll looks just like the Woody from the movies. My granddaughter loves the doll and plays with it all the time and it defintely withstands a child's roughness. I found that Amazon's price was higher than some of the stores near me, but I needed it for Christmas and the stores near me were out of it.

Well this toy was pretty much awsome it looks just like the movie sure it doesnt talk but who cares.. i got it during the lightning deal for more than half off so well worth it.. will make a wonderful addition to an already excellent toy collection for my children.. by the way the educational rating doesn't really apply with this item at least not that i could figure out how it would or wouldn't be educational

I purchased this toy for my 2 year old daughter and she doesn't want to ever put him down. The first thing she did when I handed him to her was turn him over to find the pull string. There isn't one, but she got over it really quickly. I selected this one specifically because it DID NOT have a pull string. She's a toddler and according to the other reviews the dolls with pull strings seem to break easier. That Hat does not stay on very well (if at all) so as a parent I am finding myself not only watching out for the toddler and the Woody doll, but his hat as well when we our "out on the town". This could be annoying for some parents, but for me it's not that big of a deal. I will certainly upgrade her to the talking Woody doll when she is just a little bit older and understands what it means to "be careful" with something, but for now this Ragdoll Sheriff Woody has been a very wise investment! It has encouraged her to use her imagination more.

Great doll for Toy Story fans, It is just like the real woody...plush body with hard face, hands, boots, hat and gun holder but it has no pull string. Hes been on a few family trips with us and usually ends up in bed with my son on most nights. Great for imaginative play but thats pretty much it, nothing to fancy about him...I dont think kids care to much about that though
