Our three year old grandson likes Max and Ruby so we sent the Bugsby book even though we could not preview the story. We were glad we did. The Bugsby reads the story nicely and it's good old Max and Ruby. Touching the pictures elicited sounds or phrases, some of them silly enough to get him laughing. The book is well used and is great for long car rides. Paper used for the book resists tearing and spills too. Kudos to Vtech.

My girls received the Bugsby book reader this past summer and love it, but were getting sick of the book it comes with. I was so happy to see one of their favourite shows available for the Busby readers. I hope Vtech comes out with some more books for the Bugsby.

 Useless without a reader pen (pen not included) Jan 21, 2011

I purchased this book for my daughter. Only after it arrived I came to know that you require a reader pen to make the best use of this book. Unfortunately the reader pen is not sold sperately, you need to get the starter book for $25. This information is not provided anywhere in the website.
Nobody even picksup the phone at v-tech customer support. I am going to return this item back.
